Safety Switches

Safety switches can be used to monitor the widest range of safety gates. They ensure that hazardous machine movements stop when the safeguard is opened. The most diverse operating principles are available, such as mechanical, magnetic or coded safety switches.

Safety Switches with Guard Locking

Movable guards such as swing gates and sliding gates, flaps or covers, can be found in almost every application. If there are dangerous overrun movements, a safety locking device with appropriate manipulation protection in accordance with EN ISO 14119 is required.

The safety gate cannot be opened until all hazardous machine movements are stopped. A restart is not possible until the safety gate is closed and locked. It must not be possible to either defeat or manipulate the safeguards.

Safety Relays

The safety relays PNOZ monitor safety functions such as emergency stop, safety gates, light barriers, light curtains, two-hand controls, speed, standstill and much more besides.

In 1987 Pilz patented the first emergency stop relay to protect man and machine.

Continuous further development has led from simple devices to the modular safety relay myPNOZ and the configurable small controller PNOZmulti, the global safety standard for machines.

Safety Laser Scanner

The safety laser scanner PSENscan offers two-dimensional area monitoring with an opening angle of 275 degrees and a protected field range of up to 5.5 metres. The free configuration of warning fields and protected fields, plus the ability to adapt to structural conditions, the safety laser scanners are ideal for integrating into the widest range of applications. The safety laser scanner PSENscan is especially suitable for stationary and mobile area guarding as well as access monitoring.

Safety Radar System

With radar systems you can monitor protection zones safely even when optical sensors reach their limits. They are perfectly protected against external influences such as dust, dirt, rain, light, sparks or shock. As a result they are particularly suited for use outdoors, in heavy industry or woodworking.

Safety Controller/PLC

The configurable safe small controllers PNOZmulti 2 are used to monitor safety functions safely and to perform standard control functions economically with modular design with expansion modules to meet the needs of your application.

The compact standalone base unit PNOZ m C0 is not modular and expandable. With a 22.5 mm width, it’s as narrow as a safety relay, but as powerful as a safety controller.

Both the hardware and the application configuration are created in the software tool PNOZmulti Configurator. Once completed, the configuration is loaded on to a program memory and inserted into the base unit. The configuration can be simulated offline prior to commissioning – no need for hardware.

Safety Control and Signal Devices

Selection of the correct control and signal devices is a key factor for the safety of man and machine. Pilz control and signal devices are therefore of use in all places that could pose dangerous situations for your staff. They may be used during the commissioning of your system and during regular operation, maintenance or service.

We provide you with an E-STOP button, muting lamps, hand-operated control devices, enabling switch and operating mode selector switch. Our products allow for short reaction times and are therefore a safe component for your application!

Safety Software

Your safety circuit is easy to create on the PC using the PNOZmulti Configurator. The configuration tool provides support with the project design, configuration, documentation, commissioning and simulation of the small controllers from Pilz.

On the graphics-based, Windows®-compliant user interface, all elements for your safety circuit are available as icons or in selection menus.
